Commodore Frank reports

Most of you will have already look up the Association Website and discovered how well our club members faired at Georges River over the weekend.

Saturday saw three races in lightish SE to E, Sunday saw three races in strong NE.  So a testing event.

Sean Feeney won every heat in the Standard rig … congratulations great sailing.  Warwick 11th, Ryan 12th, Chris 13th … a bit like a club race! Peter Wallace 17th (broken mast first race Sunday). Five members in a fleet of 20.

In the Radials the depth of our fleet showed through. Nick Connor 2nd, Vanessa 3rd ( 1st GM), Shane 4th, Stu 5th, Jeff 9th, Rob 10th (1st GGM) Nick Collis-George 26th, Di 28th (Sunday only), Frank 30th. Nine members out of a fleet of 33.

Your commodore backed up after an end of fleet performance on Saturday, to manage to break a mast at the first mark on first race on Sunday, while lying 6th! Thereby saving himself from a long hard day on the bay. One starring leg was enough.

So we had a total of 14 members at the States and another 9 members sailing out of MHASC yesterday. Great participation.
