Handicap adjustments

Members may have noticed that all Standard Rig handicaps have been reduced by one minute after last Sunday’s racing. The aim is to reduce the congestion between our two fleets during and after handicap starts.
For those interested in the numbers, the table below shows all.

The table shows that if we made no changes, we would have 13 boats starting off 5 minutes and no Radials off 4.

So by dropping one minute off all Standard Lasers we will now have 8 boats starting at the drop of the 4 minute board and just 8 at the 5 minute drop.

Interesting just how close all the handicaps are!
