Winter races started at MHASC – visitors welcome!

Club Captain Diane Sissingh has published the winter race program in preparation for the upcoming season.
First races were conducted today in tricky but enjoyable conditions.  And it didn’t rain!  Click here for the full results.  
The program is shown below followed by the sailing instructions.  Visitors are always welcome and race entry is free.

Program

Day 1 – 22 May – ‘Seal’ Cup
Day 2 – 19 June – ‘Queen’s’ Trophy
Day 3 – 3 July – ‘Brass Monkey’ – Day 1
Day 4 – 31 July – ‘Brass Monkey’ – Day 2
Day 5 – 14 August – ‘Seal’ Cup – Day 2

Sailing Instructions

The normal club sailing instructions  for short course racing will apply with the following modifications/clarifications:

  1. First warning scheduled for 10am.
  2. Starting Flag will be Laser Class Flag
  3. Starting sequence will be 3 minutes 
  4. All Lasers irrespective of class will start together.
  5. Course is :
    Mark A – Windward Mark – Port
    Bottom Mark/Gate is between the Pin Flag and Colin Cain (starters boat)
    Mark A – Windward Mark – Port
    Finish is between the Pin Flag and Colin Cain
  6. Any infringement to the Sailing Rules will require one Penalty Turn.
